2024 Williams College Dance Department Sketchbook Collection

In the spring semester of my sophomore year at Williams College, I pursued an independent study under ballet Professor Janine Parker. Twice a week for ten weeks, I visited two other advanced classes: Intermediate Ballet, Advanced Ballet, African Dance & Percussion, Afro-Modern Dance, and Modern Dance. I sat in each class and created detailed illustrations documenting each dance's step-by-step movements, direction, attire, props, formation, etc. The first book also features a field trip to a performance of The Ballet Hispanico. At the request of the Dance Department Director, Prof. Sandra Burton, my sketchbooks have been archived in the Williams College Special Collections Archives.
