Bamma Boots

I am so excited to share my week long “Bamma Boots” project. I spent the whole spring break on campus. I was definitely thinking about my home, DC. So, I decided to bring DC to Mass. Using Angelus leather paints, I painted a pair of Kappa skate shoes with various DC hotspots. For example, I reference the African American History Museum, various Smithsonian institutions, Ben’s Chili Bowl and the National Gallery of Art. I even have the Metro map 😅.

They’ve been finished with an Angelus scratch-resistant matte urethane clear and topped off with a water and stain-repellent.
